    Jocelyn Barrett rejoined M&A as of counsel in 2019, after previously working at the firm as a litigation associate upon admission to the State Bar of New Mexico in 2012. In the interim, Ms. Barrett practiced briefly in civil rights litigation and went on to co-manage a family business until returning to the law in 2019.

    Mr. Bartell’s practice is focused on the litigation of matters in the areas of transportation law, public entity tort and civil rights claims, land use and zoning, construction law, commercial litigation and employment law. Mr. Bartell’s clients include companies and individuals involved in administrative proceedings before the Transportation Division of the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission and other regulatory agencies.

    Kaleb Brooks joined the firm as an associate in 2017. Kaleb’s practice is focused on complex commercial litigation in fields including environmental cost recovery, environmental torts, construction defect, and products liability.

    Samantha joined the firm as a law clerk in 2021 and as an associate attorney in 2022. Samantha graduated summa cum laude in Law from the University of New Mexico School of Law, was admitted to The Order of the Coif, and received the Leo M. Romero Criminal Justice Award. While attending the University of New Mexico School of Law, Samantha was Professional Articles Editor of The New Mexico Law Review, tutored Criminal and Constitutional Law during her 2L and 3L years, worked for the New Mexico Innocence and Justice Project, and was President of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund.

    Ms. Dalrymple’s practice focuses on complex litigation and dispute resolution in the areas of water, environment, products liability, corporate fraud, and employment law. She has significant experience in multi-district litigation and class actions and has represented clients before federal and state courts and administrative agencies.

    Daniel B. Goldberg was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico; he joined the firm in 2022. Daniel graduated summa cum laude from University of New Mexico School of Law and was admitted into Order of the Coif. During law school, he was a manuscript editor for New Mexico Law Review and externed for the Honorable James O. Browning, United States District Court Judge for the District of New Mexico.

    Born and raised in Valencia County, New Mexico with long-standing ties to the region, Ricardo S. Gonzales joined the firm as an associate in 2020. Ricardo graduated magna cum laude from the University of New Mexico School of Law where he attained admission to the Order of the Coif. During law school, his course of study focused on real property law, water law, and business law.

    Since joining the firm in 1974, Gary Kilpatric has been both a commercial lawyer and a litigator for many of the firm’s corporate clients. Since 1977, he has engaged in an extensive lobbying practice before the New Mexico legislature, representing numerous clients and lobbying the passage, defeat, or amendment of major legislation.

    Since joining the firm in 1977, Nancy King has been engaged in an active lobbying practice for numerous clients with varied interests before the New Mexico State Legislature and Executive Branch and has enjoyed a regulatory practice before the Public Regulation Commission, the Taxation and Revenue Department and the Regulation and Licensing Department.

    Troy Lawton joined the firm as a law clerk in 2020 and became an associate in 2021 after graduating from the University of New Mexico School of Law. Troy’s practice focuses primarily on civil litigation and regulatory practice, including air quality permitting, rulemaking, and enforcement actions. Troy is also active in the Firm’s oil and gas practice.

Since moving to New Mexico in 1999, Ms. Odom’s practice has focused on commercial and real estate transactions and commercial and real estate litigation.

    After a clerkship with the Honorable Oliver Seth of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, Mr. Olson joined Montgomery & Andrews in 1974 and is currently of counsel to the firm. For more than forty-five years, he has represented public utilities and other clients in regulatory proceedings before the Public Regulation Commission and its two predecessor agencies, the Public Utility Commission and the State Corporation Commission.

    Victor R. Ortega is the firm’s senior litigator. He has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation, both civil and criminal. Mr. Ortega’s experience includes trial practice in both federal and state courts, both jury and non-jury, and appeals in both federal and state courts.

    Mr. Rose advises clients on compliance with federal and state environmental and occupational health and safety laws and regulations. He represents clients before federal and state agencies and courts on environmental permitting, rulemaking and enforcement matters, and occupational/health and safety enforcement matters. Mr. Rose represented the New Mexico Environment Department and its predecessor agencies for sixteen years.

    Jeff Wechsler concentrates his practice in the areas of water, environmental, natural resources, public utility regulation, and complex litigation. In the area of water law, Mr. Wechsler has litigated cases, worked on projects, and negotiated agreements involving surface and groundwater throughout the West. He regularly represents private and public clients in litigation before state and federal courts, in stream adjudication suits, and before the New Mexico State Engineer.
